Who is Meher Baba?
Born Merwan Sheriar Irani in Pune, India in 1894, Meher Baba — meaning “Compassionate Father” — is revered by millions around the world as the Avatar: the direct manifestation of God in human form who comes age after age to lift the consciousness of humanity.
From 1925 until his passing in 1969, Meher Baba observed complete silence, communicating through a unique alphabet board and later through gestures. Yet his silence spoke louder than words — his central message, “Don’t worry, be happy,” carries the depth of surrender, divine love, and trust in God’s will.
His teachings, compiled in works like God Speaks and Discourses, offer a complete map of the soul’s journey from creation back to God-consciousness — from the deepest unconsciousness to the pure awareness of the Infinite.
